we gave until the next days afternoon to see if it was still there before i 'claimed' it,so thats fair right? exactly,serves whoever right for not using the 2 locks (which were and still are attached to the frame) and leaving it isolated enough to be adopted.
anyway,i kept it at her house overnight then the next eve my brother picked it up in his workvan (as the back tyre was a little flat) then took it back to our house.
today i finally got round to sorting the back tyre(with a new inner tube). i got 2 new tubes and a pump and lock for £28. bargain considering the bike had five finger(or 2 feet) discount.
i have used my black and white gamesworkshop undercoat spray to pimp it out and personalise it.mainly to make it look more rock and role as im now a badass bicyclist but also to make it 'slightly' less recognisable
for when i visit my gf regularly in her area on it as she lives right near her workplace and the spot where i discovered it.ive cut a few bits off here and there and also added some grand theft auto 4 stickers (ironically) to it.the rockstar game logo replaces the raleigh emblem and the badass on the front mudguard is me,and the fine hoes on the crossbar and rear mudguard are to show im a playa etc etc.also theres an eyeball sticker which fitted perfectly onto the white spot colour scheme on the back mudguard so its like its a real eyeball looking at the drivers behind.i couldnt find my iron maiden page full of stickers free with metal hammer from yonks ago
i might get some of those 'dank' / 'crunk' sequencing lights for both tyres so i look extra cool during the evenings.
the possibilities are endless. fuck driving,this is the way to get about. petrol is too high.
anyway,i will use it for work and visiting my gf,it saves me £4.40 total on bus to hers and back a few times a week and £3.20 total to work and back 4days a week.most days i walked to work but it took 30mins and now and then if weather was ok and mp3 was full id walk 50mins to hers but that was long/effort.
bike saves time,energy and money. potentially saving £40-£60 a month. also doing my bit for global wanking.
hopefully by the time the shit weather comes and days get shorter ie:september onwards,i think i will save up over summer for a moped/125 bike (again)
