thats a ridiculous comparison Albert Hofmann was researching the medicinal uses of fungus in treating metal illness' such as schizophrenia when he refined LSD, Joseph Mengele was a madman masquerading as a scientist
What about Einstein? he developed the theories that allowed the development of the atom bomb.

Now now, I'm sure a lot of what Mengele did could be adopted for medical science. I'm assuming his research wasn't restricted to what you see in The Boys From Brazil.
And the atom bomb was a brilliant invention. It shortened the Second World War by at least two years.

Mengele helped figure out how to deal with Hypothermia and the Nazi's gave pretty much the entire understanding we have today on the effects of freezing on the body.
