Thoughts? Hopefully we will see more of them on the circuit we are familiar to!

British thrashers SAVAGE MESSIAH have inked a worldwide, multi-album deal with Earache Records. The band is currently working on its third album, tentatively due in early 2011.

Commented SAVAGE MESSIAH bassist Sasha Cron: "We are very proud and excited to sign with Earache Records. This is an exciting time forSAVAGE MESSIAH as we are currently writing our new album, and hope to be on tour soon to present the new material.

"We would like to thank everybody at Earache for this fantastic opportunity, and we are really looking forward to getting out and thrashing with the fans!"

Formed in London, England in 2007, SAVAGE MESSIAH self-released its debut album, "Spitting Venom", in 2007 to positive reviews. In 2009 the band entered the studio with acclaimed Grammy-nominated producerChris Tsangarides (JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH, THIN LIZZY,BRUCE DICKINSON) to record its second effort, "Insurrection Rising". The CD was mixed by Scott Atkins (GAMA BOMB, SYLOSIS,IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION).

SAVAGE MESSIAH consists of lead guitarist and vocalist Dave Silver, lead guitarist Sy Taplin, bassist Sasha Cron and drummer Mauricio Chamucero.

Knew about this Saturday @ Bloodstock, Mort ws talking to Digby in the Arena and he brought it up then

I've known Dave (Savage Messiah) for years from the old Headless Cross days, Dave has always had a plan of where he wants to be,so good for him.

Maybe Mutant have been approached by Earache and have politely refused? and are just waiting for the right offer for them....... Just because a label approaches you does'nt instantly mean you are going to get on all fours and bend over.

Good luck to them. I've never had any issue with the band (I know there's been the whole 'ego-yarn') and thought the Candleight album was good. Definitely do prefer Damnas and Mutant, though, have to say. Still, this is some sort of community, not a warground. It's all good.

There's an unseen fortune under their belts
Are golden temples a symbol of God's way

The very fact that the 'ask earache' blog is littered with statements about how and why Earache are not signing any thrash bands anymore for the past year says it all. Labels are full of shit.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

I think in the digital age of labels.

It is best to DIY it. The glory of the interhighway has made things way more easier to organise (pressing cds, advertising, youtube, touring) In someway its free to what you end up "paying" for if you sign.

The rest is actually playing live up to a point

I mean with all the mp3 distros ie Itunes,Amazon Mp3 etc. Its the next best thing to actually liecencing a deal with a label rather then signing to one or even just pressing them yourselves.

Mutant self released there Laserdrome EP and the first batch sold out (I think) whilst on tour with Evile around this time last year? the HOD did the same whilst I dont know how many units they shifted,I know they made there money back on there inital outlay.

Lebels can help depending in what you're working with them. For distro and pressing it can be a good thing. With the digital age you can pretty much record everything yourself too!
