Do these groups ever work? I've never seen any results from any of these thangs.

Facebook is crap.

Bebo looks way better plus you have to make your profile private rather than public so you can view more peoples' profiles without adding them in the first instance. This proved to be particularly useful when there was a girl in my Russian class who I really wanted to bang but was having no luck whatsoever. Bebo provides a comparatively safe means of stalking people.

What I meant is that on Facebook, a person who isn't on your friends list has to make their profile public before you can view it. It's th'other way round with Bebo.

Frankly they're all a pile of crap. I only use facebook because I can keep in touch easily with people I don't live near, and myspace because it's about the best networking I can do from home. I'm signed up to like nine of those things and I don't remember why or when I signed up to any of them. It's a great idea, it's just that it gets overpopulated by bad porn ads and incredibly bored people with nothing good to say. I do find the occasional thing on there that's cool though, for instance the "Let's all buy a ruddy great big dinosaur" group, and the panic buying carrots thing. Pointless but funny.

To be honest I generally agree with you there. I didn't really expect that many people here to sign up to this one, just figured a couple extra people would push it along a bit. I'm only really bothered because, like I said, it's one of my mates, so for me it'll be pretty funny.
