We have talked about arranging some sort of football event before, but bands vs. bands didn't seem practical. So what about a southerners vs. northerners event?

I just thought I'd see if there were enough interested parties to make this feasible, then we could maybe hire out a pitch at a fairly central location, and make a bit of a gathering out of it. It wouldn't be anything serious, just an excuse to have a forum event besides the Mercyful Summer Fate.

haha lets get steve harris to be ref.

I'm seriously rubbish at football (/all sports) and my fitness is very poor, so this is hilarious... i'll happily sit on the subs bench and make the orange squash though.

Haha, brilliant. Well I can't see us finding 22 names for a full match, but maybe we could aim for 5 or 6 a side?

How about Midlands people can choose their geographical allegiance? Or there could be a seperate Midlands team for extra joys.
