The new Amok demo is finally finished and available to listen to NOW on our myspace: http://www.myspace.com/amokscotland .
This demo has been a long time coming for us and after 3 days of hardcore recording, mixing and mastering then some further fine-tuning at home we're pleased with the final result and hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it!
The release of the demo in physical form is expected for the date of our first gig south of the border on the 24th Feb in Wakefield with Pitiful Reign, but for the time being the tracks are online to listen to but not to download. Further details of its full release will be posted as developments occur!
The demo features 1 new track, 'False Flag', which has only been heard twice before as part of our live set, and also updated versions of 'Kill The Gestapo' and 'Thrash Island' - songs which we felt deserved a fully-produced recording!
Anyway, that's all that needs to be said. Enjoy the tracks & we look forward to hearing what you all think. Hope to see as many forumers as possible on the 24th, we're raring to go and cant wait to RAGE!!!

I was going to come on here and say how shite the demo is because Calum told me explicitly not to. However, I cannot do such a thing despite really wanting to annoy Calum. The main reason is this:
THIS DEMO IS THE FUCKING DADDY'S SCROTE!
I fucking dare any one else on here to down-pick (yes it is down-picked) Thrash Island that quickly. And it's good to hear Amok taking the lead of Gama Bomb by not making their vocalist sing like some kind of evil dervish.
AMOK ROCK!

Sounds pretty heavy, though you wouldn't know they were from Scotland by those yankie vocals

I think you can hear a bit of the scots accent in the vocals actually

Cheers for the positive feedback so far, tis much appreciated! Thats ma natural signing voice, haha! Besides few bands vocalists have a broad accent in theyr singing, a scottish accent would sound rotten haha
Cant wait to get down to down to Wakfield next week to thrash and drink!!!!

Where do you think yank accents came from?
Scottish + Irish = American
