CLOVEN HOOF - Purple Turtle

Postby James on Mon Oct 15, 2007 1:41 pm

How about this one then, for all you classic metal lovers (especially the pansies missing Friday).

Cloven Hoof are playing at the Purple Turtle in Camden this Saturday (20th), supported by Elixir I think.

It's gonna be good!

Yeah well at least you dont have to locate the hidden labyrinth of the Trolls of Myrghior, slay the dragon of Smargrensbard and solve eighteen riddles cast by the Cosmic Seahorse in order to get a ticket. :x

I.e. send a cheque hahah!

Anyway, obviously going to this. My mates saw them last Saturday supporting Diamond Head and, amonst others, they played Gates of Gehennah, Laying Down the Law and Astral Rider! And that was only in a 7 song set, so I'm sure they'll play more as headliners! Can't bloody wait. Almost more excited about the Hoof than about PA.

I can't see it happening, but I want them to play the self titled track so badly!

Jamie, I think your heavy metal plans have been cursed by the ghost of Maddie.

I would obviously like to hear them play everything but I'm really hoping for Cloven Hoof, Laying Down The Law, Astral Rider, Forgotten Heroes and Highlander.

I will probably cry if they don't play Highlander.

If they don't play Highlander, I will jump on stage and grab all the instruments and attempt to play the song by myself.

If a Cloven Hoof gig isn't worth pulling a sicky for, I don't know what is!

Pulling a sicky isn't so simple in my job. Plus I don't want to do that anyway.
