That's hardly a Metal/Rock song...

ASDA did a song with children singing Nothing But A Good Time, if that counts.

Heres a true story about this song. When i had my butchers shop, i used to listen to radio 5 all day as i worked, and on the lunchtime show, they had tori amos as a guest. She was doing a phone in, so i decided to ring and ask about her reasons for doing this song. I rang , and i got put through as her first caller. When i asked her about her reasons, she proceeded to say it was a song that had deep subliminal feminine connotations, as the title could be construed as pertaining to menstruation and the creating and ending of life and the power of womanhood and mother earth yadda yadda yadda, all this to millions of listeners at lunch time. She is obviously barking mad, but we had a good chat on air, which was very rudely interrupted by a newsflash to announce the beggining of some war with iraq. I was the only one who got to speak with her, and she wouldnt shut up, and it was completely bizzare  she did say she was a big fan of slayer and the whole thrash style of music though.

Tori was a metal/rock artist before she went all cooky. Apparently it sounded a bit like all the female soft rock kicking about at the time in 1988 (Heart, Pat Benatar, Lita Ford).

That Avril Lavigne shit was cringe-worthy... that's really annoying too because I love her to death.

Shit.
