Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Surely alcohol and tobacco need to come under the label of drugs as well.

I smoke weed and will very occasionally try other things as long as I know what they are. I've never taken pills or coke and don't really have a desire to. I find it a bit retarded when people are clumped into a group for whatever reason, especially for taking a certain drug, by other drug takers.

I smoke most days, which I suppose would make me a stoner. I've not really noticed any ill effects apart from lack of short term memory, but at the same time I wont deny that exessive use will cause harm. I'd like to think that I don't treat people who smoke weed any differently to this who don't apart from sharing joints with the former. If I want to get stoned with a group of people and talk bollocks then I will, in the same way I'll get pissed and shout bollocks with people.

Salvia is something I want to do again. It took a few goes to get right, but once I did it was awesome. Totally unlike anything else I've done. Honestly, if you think it's like weed read up on it and try it again properly. Well worth it.

Helium is the best! I always never think it's not going to work, so I always end up saying : 'this isn't working' and it's always in a really high squeeky voice! 'z

Not in the sense that they should be regulated in the same way as weed and so forth. I actually think the current laws on alcohol take the piss a bit. It's not as if the current opening hours prevent people like myself boozing to excess. To be frank, I'd probably drink less if I knew I could go out and sit in a pub until 3am.

Furthermore, you do get people that will do a glass of wine with their dinner every night which, in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with. Regarding tobacco, nothing makes you look cooler than smoking a cigar. Fact.

This is extremely hypocritical/inconsistent. Especially, with regards to weed which can be considered the less damaging - especially in the physical sense - to booze and fags. Your bias to those drugs is based on personal preference and little else. But then, you probably don't see that as a problem.

In my mind there's no class A, B whatever. There's two types, drugs that stop you dying, and drugs that make you a tosser.

One should be legal, one should be illegal.

Weed isn't less damaging; it completely fucks your brain and turns you into a reprobate. Moreover, you can't really smoke weed socially. Hence the reason why people that smoke weed tend to sit about like arseholes laughing at silly things rather than going down the pub and trying to pull.

And no, I don't see that as a problem because when it comes to passing off my rhetoric as fact, I'm second only to Hitler.

This is sort of what I was getting at.

I don't think alcohol should be treated the way drugs are, i.e. divided into classes that correspond to their legality. If you consider alcohol to be a drug, where does it fall on the spectrum?

Booze is great.

Don't tell me you don't drink? You live in Carlisle, what else would you have to do? Besides, some people are capable of just having a couple of beers and watching the boxing/football/rugby.

Drinkers and smokers don't mix, like drinkers and sober people. However, smokers are sociable when together. It's a choice. You choose booze, others choose weed and others, like Lev, choose sobriety. But like you said, you don't have a problem as passing your hypocritical rhetoric as fact. Neither do I, but I will point it out for the purpose of balance.

And Lev, the good drug / bad drug debate is so much more complicated than the way you put it. Just as simple examples, Valium and Morphine. Furthermore, someone - my mind has gone blank as to who - was telling me how she was pressured in her job to push people into buying medication they didn't need. Likewise, so many 'wonder drugs' end up having so many negative factors to them that are inexplicably overlooked in the testing stage. Or, as a possible explanation, it is more important to push them through for business than to establish accurate results.
