I could never read 2000AD. I've looked at a few issues recently, it looks like a smaller version of Heavy Metal Magazine. From what I've seen it's a mish-mash of depressing sci-fi mini-stories, plus the obligatory Judge Dredd issue. I've read old-school Judge Dredd, and it kicks the shit out of anything I've seen in 2000AD.

Also, because it's awesome.

Oddly enough I find comics to be too much hard work, all that skipping around trying to discern a story from snippets of conversation and little pictures, maybe that doesnt make sense but I prefer a book, any day of the week.

I've never bought a comic I don't think, except maybe the Dandy and Beano type stuff at a very young age.

I do enjoy the themes from time to time, but it's just not a culture I got absorbed into, so I didn't get into any of the storylines etc.

Actualy, I did by a few Spawn comics when I was in school, they were pretty cool.

I like some 60's comics like the Furry Freak Brothers, funny shit!

Preacher is fucking amazing. I recommend you read Transmetropolitan too. Those two often get bundled together.

I can understand why some people don't like comics, but for me they're one of the indispensible pleasures. My comic collection is 23GB and rising. I can think of few things more rewarding than sitting down with the latest issue of The Walking Dead and a Megadeth CD. :lol:

I never read comics really. I remember reading the beano and dandy at my mates house when i was young but that is about it. I don't remember much of the 80's since I was born in '84. I wish i was born in the early 70s so I could have been part of the thrash culture. :cry:
