No apologies necessary Mr Tom, that guy was a total retard who had absolutely no idea what the fuck he was doing. He knew right from the beginning everything was running late, he should've shortened the bands sets and just made sure things were done in order to keep the schedule roughly to plan, but instead he just let everyone do what they want and he really fucked you over. He's a shit sound engineer too. All he could say to Donny at the end, as you mentioned, was "But it was still jokes though innit". What a fucking twat. I've just got home. Crowning Glory finished at about 1.45am. That's just completely unbelievable. If it makes you feel any better Tom, Tom from Crowning Glory said a quick few words to explain to the crowd your situation, and told everyone to come down to the turtle next Monday. That one's going to be amazing!

On the plus side, River Freshney were just bloody great and hilarious (but hilarious in a good way!), that frontman is a legend and I really can't wait to see them again. Even if I'm generally not too keen on that kind of music, their performance more than made up for it, what a great show! And unlike most of the other bands, they didn't outstay their welcome, a nice short set of goodness. Doctor Death were also a real highlight, the first band of the day that actually put on a performance worth watching. They entertained me greatly and played a great fun set, and the new song The Passion of the Corpse was great! And Crowning Glory, good lord, what a fucking band. They certainly made up for all the shittiness of that day with a typically amazing performance. So that's it really, in my opinion only 3 of the 13 bands who played were worth watching. 4 if you count Damnas, but that's really for me to say... Oh ok, yes we were also great (oh and 5 if you count Savage messiah who i missed, but they're always good). Thanks Tom for the kind compliments, they're really really appreciated. We'll have to rock with you again sometime soon. And I will play Psycho Surgery with you one day, if it's the last thing I do! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Anyway, at least we all learnt a lesson, and that is to never play at that hell hole again. Still managed to have some fun though at least. Shit happens though, what can you do! Just don't feel too bad about it Mr Atom, you know it wasn't your fault, it was just a day of madness run by a retard.

Right, I'jm going to finish my poo and go to bed. Goodnight.

Yeah, that promoter was a total loser, he could have at least said something to the people who waited around at his piss-poor event.

Some really good sets, but also plenty of really shitty sets - I can't believe it started at 3pm and it still took that long to get through so many worthless bands. Was cool though to see Elimination, and Dr Death, Damnas, Savage Messiah and Crowning Glory. Looking forward to Mutant next Monday.

cheers for everyone for coming down. was a riot. yeah, there were problems, and its proper shit that certain people had to pull out. there should be no need for that, so that sucks. as long as everyone else enjoyed. all fun for shits and giggles.

Jon, do you always take a shit when you're on the forum? UKThrash: Taking a shit.

We had a great time, thanks for everyone for watching us, and cheers Tom! Appreciated! It was our sloppiest gig ever, but I think after copious amounts of hours drinkin n smokin' J's, we're allowed :D

Anyway..

You could tell from the onset of the day that it was going to be a poorly organised event, it seemed every band had been told to go on stage around 8 and 9, which did cause a few problems!

No one really knew who'se equipment they were using, and they didn't seem to want to deal with the fact that the whole event was running at least an hour and a half late! As mentioned, they just let the bands play their usual sets, and just accepting the fact that it was going to run through to the early hours.

It's a shame Mutant had to pull out (altho I had gone home long before that - I'm getting old) I know for a fact Jon was looking forward to playing with you! The thing with the promoter is that, as Jon mentioned in the night, that he's generally relaxed when putting on a band night, where theres only 3-4 bands, that isn't really a problem, but when theres a million bands, it's got to be strictly run - whoevers band is running late - the time goes from their set, not the whole night - it's just unfair on bands like Mutant, Crowning Glory, who were headlining, because of the late start, people probably would have left to get the last train n shit. On the train.

and lolzors!! to the guy with the one bit of fake blood on his nose. That band are a bunch of idiots. I think it's Tiberium? Stupido.

Man, that really sucks about Mutant, and for all the bands who were pissed around. It was clear to me that the whole event was poorly organised, and I was just a spectator. When I leave a gig at 11:15 to get the last train back, I expect to miss perhaps the last band. I don't expect to miss the last FOUR bands. I was so cross about missing the bands I was most looking forward to seeing.

That said, it was an enjoyable gig - out of the bands I haven't seen before I really enjoyed Elimination.

And Caps, you got kicked out for beating me up.

sounds pretty shit. i'm sure everyone knows Mutant are some safe guys and wouldn't pull out unless it was absolutely necessary. I'm glad i chose the 'free' gig on tuesday now instead though.
