Not that im saying you shouldnt be, cuz it is what you are aiming for then good for you. The thing that does worry me, and it is the same with a lot of new bands, is that you almost seem to be asking what direction you should go in to be popular. You should have opened this thread with the words this is what we sound like i hope you like us. we will be improving our sound as we practice and so forth, so keep checking us out.
If i was in a band id do what was right for ME and if people liked it then grest if they didnt, dont listen. simple!!!!
Words of true wisdom.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Pretty good songs, I forgot what I was listening to during Quick To Hate... not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing, but overall the songs sound good to me, some of the riffs might repeat a little too many times etc, but hey, it's your guys music!!!!
Nice work, when'sthe next release?

It's already been said, but the vocals have that Phil Anselmo thing going on, which I absolutely hate. This is just a personal thing, some people are into it, but I think if you're a British band it's a cardinal sin do some gay American metal rip-off vocal. It just seems really cheesy and uninspired to me. But, that's not necessarily something that's gonna turn people off your band because not everyone is that fussy.
Even Phil Anselmo has changed his own voice style nowadays due to his copycats pissing him off.

Are you sure it is not because the years of substance abuse, rock n roll lifestyle and generally not looking after himself has turned him from a decent metal singer and into lee marvin?

Not according to his press release in last months metal hammer, he would say that though. Once a smackhead etc.

I like The Devil Drove Them On (only one I've listened to so far). There's a quality triplet breakdown in the middle that I am enjoying immensely right now.
I'm actually a fan of the vocals as well, although they could be a bit lower in the mix.
Also, Thrash + Full Metal Jacket = Insta-Win.
P.S. Do you guys know (of) Speed Theory? I caught two of their songs at a Municipal Waste/Toxic Holocaust gig in The Underground and they sounded pretty cool.

Yeah, there's a song on that Thrash Back compilation CD that I got at a Waste gig last summer, and it made me laugh a lot, and not in a good Manilla Road-style way, but in a bad way. Martin's description is very accurate from that one song I've heard!

Indeed. And in that one particular track I remember the hilarious rhythm of the riff and the ridiculous emo-like chorus (especially the sudden change into it) amusing me greatly.

Its funny....it seems that MartinC has never got anything good to say other than shit shit shit coming out of his mouth! its important that the band figure out there stylings for themselves n dont listen to people like him putting them down!
