Killer band, been listening to them a lot recently. Anyone else digging these cats?
I think its safe to say that Skeptics Apocalypse and Unstoppable Force are their best albums, which one do you prefer?
After many hours of listening, I will go with Unstoppable Force. More of a varied album and the instrumental is bonestorm. The guitar solo on the song Rager is also one of the best I have ever heard too!
Where's Cyriis?

Re: Agent Steel
I only have Skeptics Apocalypse, it is a rather good album.
I am still convinced that a uk thrash band has used the agents of steel riff somewhere, i just can't remember where.

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Yep, you are definitely right about that! It's a song by a band of child abusers, perhaps called The Legion.

Last thing I heard is that he`s on Hawaii and fishing (no joke).
And for the two albums - very tough decision, but I go with Unstoppable Force, though Agents of Steel is my favourite track.
BTW - I love all the bands related to that LA group of musicians in the 80s - Sceptre, EvilDead, Bloodlust, Abattoir, Terror!
And if you're not a metal head then you might as well be dead...

Re: Agent Steel
Amazing band. At the moment I prefer the first one, but it changes a lot. Best speed metal ever recorded.
The band that stole the Agents of Steel riff is probably us, when covering it live.
According to the most recent Snakepit magazine Cyriis, real name Jean Pierre Camps surfaced fairly recently in a band called Stellar Seed, but isn't interested in talking about the old Agent Steel days. Still, the magazine has a killer interview with Chuck Profus - well worth a read.

That "news" is actually about 3 years old...
And about his "real" name - it changes weekly!

Agent Steel were one of the first thrash bands I got into, fucking LOVE the first 2 albums, really tough choice between them... so I'm not gonna choose, I'm just gonna say CHOSEN TO STAY because that song kills me every time! Also they released an EP called Mad Locust Rising (1986 I tihnk),. which has a cover of THE RIPPER on and an early version of The Day At Guyana, and an AMAZING track called Mad Locust Rising!!!!!
The new Agent Steel is actually VERY fucking good, the first and second new albums were probably the best, the most recent wasn't quite as good... Well worth checing these out for some heavy power/thrash with crazy (Halford-esque) vocals!!!

Band name or what??
Atom wrote:Where's Cyriis?
Well.... Cyriis and Juan Garcia (maybe some of the other members) released a 2 song demo in 1988 under the name of PONTIUS PROPHET, then Garcia went on to form EvilDead... Stellar Seed was the only other thing Cyriis has been involved with since then - Godz Of Man demo in 2002, just one track though
Agent Steel are amazing, Nick666 made a great observation - EVERY band connected with Agent Steel (same members, etc) are completely amazing, Abattoir are so good!!!!!!
