Hahaha. I just love the sound effect they used when he/she slaps her. And the dramatic music that builds up throughout, haha! Ridiculous American dramatics.

Re: Videos Thread
i ordered 30 odd hong kong action dvds/vcds the other week(the ones on my shopping list for when i was meant to go on a trip to hong kong last oct but was cancelled)i finally got my refund the other week and so went on an ebay/amazon/hmv.hk hunt for various harder to get titles.
i finally got round to watching this one last night.Mismatched Couples.
it stars Donnie Yen(his 2nd ever movie and hes about 20yrs old)and also stars Yuen Woo Ping(the skinny older guy in the glasses)who was responsible for the action choreography in the matrix trilogy/kill bill/crouching tiger/forbidden kingdom/jet lis unleashed etc(and countless others) as well as casting/making Jackie chan a success in 1978s snake in eagles shadow/drunken master.Yuen Woo Ping usually directs/choreographs so is mostly behing the scenes/camera,however he had a main supporting role in this movie with his (at the time) protege Donnie Yen.
anyway i can honestly say it was the funniest movie ive EVER seen.it was filmed in 1985(during the height of the american breakdancing craze)and so the chinese filmakers tried to combine breakdancing with kung fu action with hilarious/mixed results.
theres soooo much slapstick and there are a lot of standout scenes:a bmx vs rackett tennis match(batting the ball with his wheels while doing tricks) a remote control playabout, aswell as 5 more remote control cars being used later to woo the girl/love interest back in a montage (wicked stuff).
a bloke with mirror rods on his shades, ghetto blasters,an old man with a briefcase which opens to reveal a mad stereo speaker system better than the other one(to show the youngsters to respect the old dude who even has a dance off with them:obviously using a stunt double).
also the mirror glasses dude has a tracksuit with speakers sewn/built in and it links to a walkman and is the loudest of all
the dodgy music is soooo trying to be all electro and is soooo bad its good.
the film was originally a comedy in the first place, and due to the datedness and retro RADness of it all,it makes it even more hilarious.
the chinese havent quite got it when it comes to effortlessly being cool.some scenes are just plain embarrassing but still funny.
anyway heres the trailer.its available to watch in parts on youtube too.
respect your elders
wish i had this much energy in the mornings

My God!
What a fucking stud! Shooting at your wife then appearing on the news too pissed to speak is something I can only dream of achieving. It's amazing that he manages to drop 'I FEEL GOOD!' and pretty much everything else he's known for in the interview.
