Rumours about a DVD release are spreading too. The band are being n00bs and have cancelled a few dates (including an appearence at Download). Hopefully this london one wont be pulled!

If you dont see them you officially FAIL. Cynic are incredible, seriously original technical death metal.

If you don't have the album Focus, get the reissue now, it will pwn all albums you've ever heard except possibly Death- Human which just about beats it.

See you at Dingwalls! :rockdevil:

If they'd come closer I might have checked it out.

I prefer Nocturnus anyway.

Nocturnus are indeed better than Cynic, but then The Key is better than almost any other death metal record. Cynic are killer, but I'm not sure how it would come across live. I'd like to see them, but cash is short.

If you prefer Cynic to Nocturnus you have issues.

Cynic are really cool but that vocal effect on Focus is so over used.

why are we even comparing the two? Cynic are a death/jazz fusion band and nocturnus are a death metal band with an obsession with star trek.

Don't hold y'all breath. Cynic ain't great live (based on the one time I've seen them), but I shall be attending the London show, oh yes.

Nocturnus were a smashing live band.

I saw Nocturnus supporting Bolt Thrower. I stood amazed, waching. 'they... that band there, on the stage..... THEY HAVE A FUCKING KEYBOARD PLAYER?!?!?!?! WHAT KIND of GAY HELL IS THIS?' and then proceded to be battered by sci fi death metal and went home and bought their albums. First keyboard I saw in an extreme metal band.

Then they were on the James Whale Show late at night on YTV, and I couldn't believe it. And he hated them.

Never got Cynic. I had Death and Pestilence.
