Gawsh, well there are a lot of bands that's for sure.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

make sure you come to The Unicorn Pub a lot! Free Gigs every weekend and on Jan 29th London Thrashers Damnas play their final show - Raging Vio-lence influenced Thrash metal, whilst on Feb 4th Adrenicide will be performing their first ever show - ultimate Crossover Thrash from hell...

But yeah there is some good stuff to find in london, if you keep checking back on here you'll find out all the info on THRASSSSSSH in the city. Where are you staying in/just out of london?

London's got a killer metal scene, mate. Lots of gigs, lots of people.

Pretty good gig listing here:
http://www.smnnews.com/board/showthread.php?t=124354
(06 Feb - Sodom @ Underworld.)

Meeting point for the 'scene' are usually:
Crobar
Hobgoblin (ex-Dev)
The Intrepid Fox
The Gaff (Holloway - depending on night)
... the Camden canal

Gigs:
Underworld
Electrowerkz/Slimelight
O2 Islington Academy
Bulll & Gate
... the Unicorn is terrible, but yes there's gigs there

I'll be staying at my bros place in crawley, I've heard bad things so I assume there is zero of anything there, but the rent is cheap so whatever. eventually I'll be in london when I find somewhere affordable

Yeah good gigs happen at the Unicorn!! Also Purple Turtle but not so much these days.

Crobar is the best bar in the world!!! Well... I love it. Hah. I don't like the intrepid Fox much, always seems to be glam weirdos in there when I go. Oh and yeah aswell as the Gaff in Holloway Road there's also the Big Red, really cool pub, just a minute walk down the road!

Basically, for gigs check here.
Safe!

Hey,

Funnily enough I'm in Crawley as we speak, it's where my Mum is from so we're here for Christmas but we live in London.

It can be a fair old journey to get to London and back from Crawley so I would suggest having somewhere to stay when you go to London gigs and stuff.

There is absolutely no music scene here! It has a great town centre for shops and stuff and several pubs dotted about the place but thats it tbh. Where abouts will you be staying?

Also, if you live in Crawley 'the place to go' is often Brighton because it's so much closer than London. It has a Uni there and lots of clubs and stuff.

As Jamie and the guys have said the London scene is awesome.
Whoever said 'the Unicorn is terrible' is basically wrong. There's cool people there, sound staff, it's a decent pub and all the gigs are free!

Like the Crobar is any better, they're always playing Motley Crue or some other rubbish. Needs more Sabbath.
