I hope it's not shit for a change.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

cant be worse then AMOLAD
Needs to be like Brave new World. But loose some of the length, predictability. It can't be that hard for them to write some fast tunes. They are all very very skilled, I can't see why they just don't cut it back a bit.
Go for the raw edge, fast, galloping tunes they are known for. If this is the "final frontier" for them, they may as well revist their roots and go out on a high...or make a sci-fi concept album where they quite literally go to the final frontier of space and battle space mutants while galloping around everywhere on cyber-horses...
(if they DONT do that... i am shotgunning in lol)

AMOLAD was amazing and i stand by that. Such a fantastic album. But i hope they do move on a bit from it you know. Im sure the lads will do good though.

Re: Iron Maiden - THE FINAL FRONTIER
I've been revisiting DOD and AMOLAD recently, and they are definitely actually not shit. Maiden are never shit. Even when they're shit, they're not really shit. Machine Head are shit. Maiden are not shit. They became a bit formulaic and predictable with the last album (but then again, that is Maiden really, isn't it?), but there some really great moments going on there actually. From the new album title it sounds like they're hopefully finally moving away from the war themes, and are going to sing songs about Star Trek. Brilliant. I can't wait!
It does sound like a final album kind of title though... I remember Nicko saying they didn't call the last album 'The Legacy' (which was one of the few actually amazing songs on the album) because it sounded too much like it was the final album... so maybe they have done the opposite on this one? Good christ, that would be sad indeed. Or maybe it really is just a concept album about Star Trek.

I'll give you that Paschendale, Rainmaker, Face In The Sand and Dance of Death are four of the best songs ever, that's for sure. Actually Montsegur is absolutely amazing too.

Montsegur could only be made better if they just repeated the song.
Did you get my e-mail that I sent on Monday?

I want it to be that with intros by different Star Trek actors on each song or a duet with William Shatner

Yes indeed! Sorry Mazzlord, I shall reply, I've just been such a busy madman recently and haven't had the proper time needed to invest in such a rocking reply that your e-mail requires.
