I haven't been on their myspace, but by all accounts they are a power metal band from Canada. Now,cards on the table here,I know quite a bit about thrash metal, but I'm no real expert.HOWEVER,I know A LOT about power metal, and I reckon few people,if any on this forum know as much as me,it's always been my fave metal genre, check out my myspace.Anyway,I've got albums by bands most of you will never have heard of,from all over the world.
AND I'VE NEVER HEARD OF WARMACHINE.
So,how does a band from the other side of the world, that a power metal expert(sorry) has never heard of,get on a European tour with Megadeth?
Simple.
Fix.

Fantastic Melodic Power/Thrash Metal debut, this Killer Canadian Metal band has out done themselves, this is destined to be at the top of everyones. Canada’s Warmachine makes aggressive, melodic metal in the vein of Eighties arena rockers. That may have something to do with the influence of producer Murray Daigle, who fronts the impressive Dokken-eseque Canadian band Emerald Rain. (Daigle also contributes vocals on Empty.) These 11 tracks unleash a huge can of whup-ass. Of course, it helps having ex-MEGADETH bassist DAVID ELLEFSON play on three tracks (Betrayed, Empty and Taunted Souls) and Iced Earth/Millenium guitarist Ralph Santolla shred on another (Forgotten Demise), and Harry Hess (Eternally) and Darren Smith (Eye For an Eye) sing their guts out and help Warmachine sound like Harem Scarem on roids '" complete with rousing choruses and melodies that will sear your brain.

The Beginning Of The End- is an infectious release, showing distinctive riffs ,timeless solos, basted in a broth tasting of the likes of such giants as MEGADETH, METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN, and JUDAS PRIEST yet a sound all that is their own! With this KILLER debut, they aredestined to herald themselves as one of Canadas most respected true metal bands.

Yes, they are “destined to be at the top of everyones”, they covered Megadeth song, they played with David Ellefson and they play in the vein of “such giants as MEGADETH” and “Eighties arena rockers”, so theoretically there can’t be a better support for Megadeth than them.

But only theoretically, because in practise they sound more like power than thrash (Edguy was a good connection), yes they are catchy and I like them, but I’d prefer the thrash band on their place much better...

Warmachine wise as well they are more then buddy with the mod's over at the Megadeth forums and more or less every mod was saying 'You guys are true fans of the band, you deserve the slot more then any of the other bands'.

I guess these thing's happen, would of been good to see Evile on the lineup.

In other words, another great victory for the "It's not what you know but who you know" brigade then.

It's all a load of bollocks. Seriously, don't bother with these things. Earn your place in the music industry, don't take the easy way in otherwise you won't last. That's my advice anyway. Not that I have any first hand experience or anything, that's just what I believe.

We all know the War Machine will suddenly be the next 'big thing' for supporting Megadeth though... I just know they're gonna be completely shit... like the support on the last Megadeth tour!
