Anihilated

Postby James on Mon May 04, 2009 12:03 pm

This 80s UK thrash act are still going with plans to record a new album. I never got round to checking them out when I was first investigating British thrash, although the late-80s tracks on their Myspace are actually quite ripping. Very generic, but speedy with decent vocals. I don't expect much from their modern day efforts though. Any fans here, or anyone who saw them live back in the day?

I like them a bit, the production was always too weak/ quiet for my mp3 player so I kinda overlooked them!

I remember they sound 'a bit like slayer' kinda generic but are a good band!!!

Quite heavy, and I like the artworks!!!!

Ah during my find every thrash band ever! days I remember finding one of their LPs in a second hand shop, sure it was their 2nd one but can't remember the name and thought it was great, like a generic british slayer but still worth a few listens :)

Main criticism would be that it doesn't have any features that could be called a 'British' thrash sound, but then our output was never really big enough to achieve much in that direction, with the exception of Sabbat.

I think Walkyier's voice sounds super rustic and English personally - though the riffs may well owe a lot to other nations. I dunno, I just think they have a much more unique sound which is a better candidate for being labelled 'English'.
