If you don't sort a lift:
Steve's getting the train on the Thurs, direct to Lichfield Trent Valley (1 stop from city), but no idea how much that cost him, ask him about that one I guess
Either that or Chiltern Railways from Marylebone to Birmingham Moor St is £19 return super off peak (or better than that if you get advance fares i think) and then it's a few quid each way from New St (walking distance from moor st) to Lichfield City..
