MASS EXTINCTION
Formed in late September 2003, the vision was straight forward as it
was lethal, to create and harness........FACE MELTING THRASH!
Displaying an "all out war" approach to the performance, a Mass
Extinction show is as intense, energetic and stellar as they come!
Drawing influences from the pure blood pioneers of the early 80s i.e.
Exodus, Slayer, Kreator, Destruction, Nuclear Assault....up to the
genre perfecting titans of second wave thrash....Testament, Forbidden
et all. It was the calibre of these such bands and the distinct
qualities they possessed lacking in the modern day metal culture that
invoked an inevitable and highly volatile solution......REVOLUTION!

Since starting on the gigging circuit Mass Extinction have been
fortunate enough to support some of their major influences: Exodus,
Destruction, Sodom, Onslaught and Nuclear Assault as well as sharing
the stage with international acts such as Pungent Stench, G.B.H.,
Screamin Daemon and Slough Feg.

Band members:
Tom Cunningham-Vocals
Brian Brennan-Guitar
Adam Shortt-Guitar
Simon Caffrey-Bass
Sam Lambert - Drums

The Kill On Command cover is pretty decent. I'll probably pick this up soon.

It's a very well-executed thrashy offering.

Got its first review at http://www.metal-metropolis.com

2 years have passed, and Mass Extinction are back with more headbanging pleasure. 3 more songs have been recorded for this second demo. The first thing you notice is the much improved artwork. It really looks like a commercially released product. But ultimately it's the music that counts. And musically they have not altered one single thing! This is still 100% old school face melting thrash metal craziness! And Mass Extinction knows how to deliver the goods. The production is slightly improved too, and the mix makes all the instruments come out more clearly. But don't expect any Andy Sneap or Peter Tägtgren product. 'Creations Undoing' manages to sound like it was released in 1985, despite having a crisp and clear sound, just like this kind of music should. The guitars are razor-sharp, attacking your senses like a chainsaw at full speed. Tom's raspy vocals are spewed out in an angry fashion, without any metalcore screamo tendencies in sight. The rhythm section is tight as heck, with some mind numbing drum work going on. Mass Extinction have created the best thrash metal demo of 2007 with this release. And with the big thrash metal revival we have going on these days, I should think that they will have no problem getting signed to a bigger label soon. 'Creations Undoing' is a perfect product for it's genre. Thanks goes out to Kieran for turning me onto this band!

Where is the apostrophe in "Creations"?

It must be the undoing of a number of creations.

That would still be Creations' Undoing. It must be Creations Undoing things... many things.
