this year i want to definitely attend a festival, whether its in the uk or europe.
i see lots of adverts in terrorizer for the upcoming fests and also see a few mentioned in this thread.
basically from May onwards is when i will be sorted with moving.money etc etc so i would be up for going from then onwards.
i get paid my xmas money next thurs so could even look at booking tickets very soon.
if anyone is driving/camping/attending any fests or if anyone is still undecided which to attend, then please post here and maybe we can get an idea of whats best, whos going where.
thanks y'all

Re: festivals,help!
Hi Rik,
Loads of us are heading to Hellfest. I'd say it's pick of the bunch. I went last year and it was amazing.
As for UK festivals, I'd go with Bloodstock.
I don't really have much to add.
Let us know what you chose xx

KIT or MuskelRock.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Bloodstock does look pretty good this year.

Re: festivals,help!
Well, I recently found out I can't go abroad this year so I will be doing UK festivals. Bloodstock is looking like a definite goer and I'm thinking High Voltage for the Priest experience. I'm just wondering whether to wait out the latter like last year because they cut ticket prices down to two-for-one...

Re: festivals,help!
i am having the same issues with my High-Voltage tickets buying... i got one off a tout last year for alot cheaper than the real price, so much so that i thought he MUST have sold me a fake ticket and i was very sketch about the whole thing... but turns out it was just major cheap goodness.
HV and Bloodstock are looking pretty good indeed, although HV wins due to a total combination of Judas Priest, Jethro Tull and Caravan!!!
Yeah Rik come to all of the festivals you dick, why not?! if you don't go to all the festivals i'll send you a spam bot for lunch.

Yes, Tull, MSG, Priest! I should be going.
That and KIT for me.
Wish I was going to Hellfest but I don't think I can afford it/flights are awkward times.

Re: festivals,help!
thanks for the info everyone,i guess bloodstock seems a popular choice on here and i was thinking maybe i could do 2 uk fests instead of 1 european fest.
or 1 each(depending on budget.) £200 would be my limit for actual fest tickets. then travel will be sorted nearer the time.
if some people are going on road trips,id happily chip in for petrol.
that grasspop metal meeting and metalcamp look cool(if i was to go abroad)
also it would be cool to catch Judas Priest live at whichever fest, since i havent seen them live before.

priest are at high voltage fest in london which is shaping up nicely. sposed to be a really cool festival, only thing is its £99 for 2 days but you cant stay there so a hotel is needed which could be a lot of money

I live about 20 minute walk away from Victoria Park. Put up a couple of people last year. Have to see about space but reckon I could sort a couple...

Re: festivals,help!
I would like to stake my claim on that, but i already know I can't afford to go.
Rik come to Muskelrock with me.
It costs piss all compared to going to a massive fest and it's basically like being at Metalbrew Sweden, Girlschool are headlining if you're interested.
