I got mine second-hand from a guy off eBay for £195. Unfortunately the guy didn't treat it too well so there's a couple of cracks in the paint and the hardware is oxidised to fuck. I've not got round to trying to clean it properly but if I can find a Schaller Floyd Rose for the right price I'll change the hardware so it looks closer to the prototype. The gold hardware is pretty cool and the Peavey Floyd Roses hold their tuning OK but I think the collar they use for the trem arm is too big or something so the bar sits about an inch higher than I'd like it to. I put a pair of Seymour Duncans I had from a guitar that was 'written off' when I was drunk once and it sounds great.

Yeah it's a nice guitar, the stock pickups sound great and £195 is a hell of a good price. I paid £360 for mine

Was that off of GAK or something? I remember they were charging around that when I bought mine. It's still a good price seeing as an Ibanez of lesser quality will set you back £500. I had £1, 000 to spend on an amp last year - I was expecting to buy a Mesa/Boogie Rect-O-Verb (biggest disappointment ever) because they had been reduced from £1, 600 but ended up getting an Engl for £750. I was going to get a new V-Type because I had money left but there were a couple going on eBay less than £200. That and I was going through a massive Whitesnake faze at the time.
Did you ever get a chance to try the Peavey Wolfgang QTs? My brother bought one and that's largely why I bought the V-Type. I think they were released at the same time and the Wolfgang my brother had was great. I wouldn't mind getting one of them in decent condition. It's a shame Peavey lost their deal with Van Halen.

Yes i got it off GAK and yes I've tried the wolfgang and I loved it, such a great guitar. I had like £650 to spend on an amp and I blow it on a fucking marshall avt150hx and 1960A cab. Gutted dosen't even come into it

Yeah, I still have an AVT150 Combo. Whilst the clean channel is great, the distortion is humming. I should have it traded it in against something by now but can just never be bothered.

Got it installed and set up my guitar for it. It seems to do what it says on the tin, which is nice.

Thought I'd upload a picture for anyone who's interested:
I thought I may have had to drill new holes for the claw screws but took a chance and it seems to have worked out OK.

Still not sure what that thing even does, my trem just seems good for keeping my guitar in tune and that is just dandy.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Re: Tremol-No
If you bend your B string but pick only the low E string, the low E will go out of tune if you have a floating trem. This gadget fixes that for you. It helps when you're playing chords because only the strings you want to change pitch will change pitch.
