The Nebs provide yet another different approach to thrash in the UK scene, I hope this new album is as brutal as the last EP.

The front man is an idiot. I can't remember his name, but his eyebrows annoy me. Definitely steering clear of this one.

it looks like it may be a lengthy wait for this
Why? What's going on? That seems a bit shitty to say the least.

Ok here it all is...
the weekend after the Brujeria gig we had i was really ill, and so fred did the guide guitar tracks with adriano to do the drums, this was in feb, things seemed like they were ok, only i have a different technique to fred and we didnt notice before that it threw adriano off, we re-recorded a few oldies cos we thought it might sound better and it would be quite nice for people to here some of the stuf on Onslaught recorded with a more of a modern edge..
anyways, we got the drum tracks back to freds shed so we could do the guitars, and it seemed that one of the tracks was unworkable because of the difference in technique, it threw adriano off a bit, and so we had to drop one song (total Annihilation) so as we worked through the rest of the material things seemed like they were going well, although there was always a bit of a discomfort, the drums didnt sound as punchy as they usually do and the guitar tracks i had recorded just werent slotting in in usual nebukadnezza fashion.,
However I didnt really pick up too much on this while we were recording and things sounded perfectly fine in the studio. Fred laid his bass lines down and it as we started piling on the rest of the tracks it was becoming clear that this wasn't really sounding like a nebukadnezza album, we were struggling constantly with lots of little things, the snare was extrememly inconsistant (and triggering it didnt really help just made it sound a bit too mechanically), same issue with the bass drum, the riffs just werent locking in with the drums, it wasnt tight enough.
we struggled for a good few months with mixing and experimenting with differnt things, but we were loosing really, and it was just time to face up to that really, its a real shame that we have to re-record this but we dont want to release something that we are not happy with.
Anyways, thats about it, I promise this album is going to be worth the wait and will blow your head off when we finally do finish recording these songs,
Cheers
