Deicide are playing at ULU in London this Friday! I didn't realise that was coming up so soon.
I would rather like to catch them live, but I can't decide whether to go or not. It's a nasty £17.50 on the door, and I don't want to see Visceral Bleeding in the least.
Did any one else have it in mind?

Can't believe you didn't go for it.
Is Glen Benton actually still in the band? I'd heard that he missed the first show of the tour and they got someone else in to sing, no bassist though.

Here's the stuff I've heard about whats going on :-
Floridian death metallers DEICIDE kicked off their European tour on Friday, January 5 without frontman Glen Benton, who reportedly was forced to stay home to take care of pressing legal matters (although this has not been officially confirmed). Replacing Benton for the first four dates of DEICIDE's tour is SEVERE TORTURE drummer Seth van Loo, who previously took care of vocals in CENTURIAN and NOX.
Seth van Loo apparently learned 17 songs in one afternoon and did "a great job" at the first show of the trek, which took place in Eindhoven, Holland. [NOTE: Seth van Loo is only signing in the band; he is NOT playing bass. There is currently no replacement bassist in the group.

Apparently Glen Benton has family problems but they are still playing but with different vocalists.
On Friday (January 5) kicked off their European tour without frontman Glen Benton, who was forced to stay in the U.S. due to some family problems. The decision was actually made in the very last moment, when the band arrived in Europe. DEICIDE in agreement with Massive Music decided to not cancel the tour and Glen Benton consented to his replacement. Hope Glen will join the tour after solving his problems (all the best for him!) The more so because so far the tournee has been going great! First two gigs in Eindhoven and Nijmegen were sold out! During the first four gigs Seth [van Loo] (SEVERE TORTURE, NOX, CENTURION) is handling vocal duties. In Manchester [beginning on January 9] Garbaty 'Yaha' (from Polish death metal band DISSENTER) will join DEICIDE, taking care of bass and vocal duties as long as necessary. Every night DEICIDE is going to play a killer 75-minute live set (17 songs!). New merchandise featuring new t-shirts, longsleeves, zippers, girly, stickers from band's latest album 'Stench of Redemption' is available during the tour.
"Remember, DEICIDE, VISCERAL BLEEDING, PSYCROPTIC in cooperation with Massive Music are going to play this tour till the last gig. There's no plan to cancel any show, now it all depends on local promoters. Hope this situation won't lead to any cancellations!"
