Dunno if anyone has started a thread about this yet?...
What do you uglies think of the new Exodus album?
Some of the melodic-y bits pissed me off at first, but now it's mega growing on me. Gonna listen to it drunkish tonight and see if my opinion is swayed.

Re: EXODUS: EXHIBIT B
Mine just arrived from Play.com
Can't wait to give it a thorough listening.
first thought is that its leaning towards tempo of the Damned, which is no bad thing !!

Vocals are crappy (as usual with Dukes - he's too generic and sounds like everyone else these days) and the songs and the album as a whole are just too long. After a while it all just gels into one big mess. Some good bits in it where they harken back to earlier sounds (e.g. parts sound like The Last Act Of Defiance), but it's not great.
At least it's better than Exhibit A though - now that was shitty.

Re: EXODUS: EXHIBIT B
wasnt keen at first, given it a ton of plays though and im starting to LOVE IT.
i like dukes and this for me is his strongest album, he sounds great and the lyrical themes are awesome.
its a tough album to get all the way through and some songs are too long but their still enjoyable. and very memorable after a couple plays.
The chorus for demonicide is awesome and nanking is a brillant song.
the weakest thing on their is downfall in my opinion. sounds to much like generic newer metal. the intro and the chorus's are just a bit naff.
i prefer this album to Atrocities, still not as good as shovel though i don't think and obviously nothing on tempo, still a badass album though
EDIT : I know souza did tempo but it has that similar modern sound like these so i included it

My thoughts exactly. I just don't enjoy Rob's vocals. I also think that Rick Hunolt getting the boot had a big impact on Exodus as well. They just haven't been the same since Tempo.

I really enjoy this album, the song about school shootings is excellent.

I like it, some songs are a bit too long but the lyrics are really good. Only bad song is Downfall because the intro riff could easly be from a crap metalcore band.

Listening now, only on track two though. SO far it feels overlong (opening withtwo seven minute soings? Sod off) and Duke still isn't really gripping me but it's much better than Exhibit A so far.

After giving it a listen though from start to finish, I have to say that it's the best album the band has done wth Dukes so far. It's marred bythe fact that nearly every song stretches over five minutes though, it's far too long. And Dukes, though he's improved, still isn't that great for me.
Still, good album. 3.5/5

Slayer already beat them to the blood pack idea. I still have my old Vio-lence vomit pack. Now that looks nasty after 22 years.
I'll try and take a photo of it so you can see it now.

Excellent.
I've got the Seasons... bloodpack but when I tried to order the Vio-Lence vomit pack they told me it had been banned or withdrawn or something.
