Immortalicide,
that Mortal Sin one's a real shocker. That's the cover I've got but I used to have this one on vinyl and it's a lot better (shame this is the best pic I could find of it though)

They're Aussies. Two of them were from Sydney so I suppose they felt duty bound to destroy their most famous landmark on an album cover.
If you've not heard them, I suggest you listen to that album (Mayhemic Destruction) or the follow-up, Face of Despair.
The third album is quite rubbish, save for two or three tracks and they recently reformed (quelle surprise) and have a new album out in a couple of months.

The artwork i posted for the Mortal Sin album is from the original pressing released by the band themselves and only available in aus. When they were signed to vertigo, they thankfully empolyed someone who wasnt mentally retarded to do a new version of the cover.
As i just happen to own both, here are the covers shown bigger

It's ghastly isn't it. Thankfully the one that replaced it is a damn sight better. In fact it's one of my all-time favourite album covers.
