Metal hammer have decided to host a weekend metal event in Wales called Hammerfest on the same weekend as FTA. and with the likes of Evile and Sabbat playing we are worried that it could affect FTA. We just don't know what to do. would people still want to go to FTA or would they rather go to Hammerfest. If people would rather go to Hammerfest them we will either have to cancel it or change the date and we don't know when to host it. so please give us some ideas.

thanks.

A festival where Bullet For My Valentine headline over Saxon deserves no attention

Yeah that is way too far for me.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Yeah that is a fair idea, is moving the date going to be a massive hassle?

Re: FTA Vs Hammerfest
Thing is, if you move it to like...a couple of days after...everyone's spent their money on Hammerfest anyway. So I advise having it either a while after, or before.

I'd say move it but do not cancel. We need FTA in our lives!

Re: FTA Vs Hammerfest
The snooty fox is booked on a Saturday for quite a while ahead, so it looks like it might not be going ahead. If they are booking thrash bands then we don't stand a chance. Still we don't know what to do, as we can't change the date and its too early to book for the second half of the year. so it either keep it as it is or cancel FTA.
As far as I see it the country is too small for so many festivals and it will be the small ones who suffer with thanks to the likes of Metal Hammer and Hard Rock Hell. Its these people who will kill the underground metal scene.

Re: FTA Vs Hammerfest
We have contacted the headlining band SSS and asked them what they think. If they still want to play then it will go ahead. Sorry guys but we are too small to compete when people can afford to book any thrash band they want.
