Amazing, I finally got my copy of this album, and what a classic it is! Filled with absolute classic hits, a particular highlight being the chorus of The Devil's Blade, which is just completely amazing.

Received my copy too, excellent slab of Metal indeed, congrats guys.

"Originally called Tagelus, Battlewitch have been going since 2005, and after a couple of EP's and a split with Iron Hearse their debut full length album is now upon us. And what an album it is! Fusing elements of battle metal, doom, stoner and classic rock, this is a cd that should cause a stir amongst the ranks of the retro, or the new wave of traditional metal scene. There are a lot of bands in this (expansive) genre, and Battlewitch are up there with the best of them. Praise indeed from yours truly, with my usual predliection for all thinhs extreme. Yet they truly deserve it - this is solid as a rock musically, with riffs and hooks galore and a bounce and overall feelgood factor that few can match. I defy anyone not to grin at some point during this album. Soaring vocals top it all off and the album seems to go by in a flash - always a good sign. Picking out a few highlights is tricky as all the songs seem to have there own merits, however, "Fight To Win" and "Doom Or Die" set the bar very high from the word go although I'd nominate "Heathen" and "Merlin's Ryffe" as the standouts. The former has a sleazy opening and an anthemic or epic feel whilst the latter is powerful with great dynamics. The lyrics shouldn't be studied too closely as they're tongue in cheek to put it mildly, yet they work perfectly with the music. The bands this most remind me of are Crowning Glory, Accept and Saxon although there's all manner of influences. Hugely enjoyable, of it's type one of the best albums I've heard in a while"
