Plans for 2008? (Bands please read and post)
Moderators: James, Craig, Resilience Records
Well, Me and Seph are going to see Megadeth in February at Birmingham Carling Academy.
More onto the topic though...
Nefarious will be gigging basically all through the year, adding new dates, hopefully getting our name out there more and more.
We're constantly writing new material, so every set is extended and/or changed every gig.
Hoping to extend, expand and inflate our fanbase more, getting more people into the pit.
With our new demo recorded and uploaded onto our Myspace, hopefully more people will like our material. Encouraging us to write a fuck load more.
So yeah, busy year ahead. No fuckin' about. Time for some Thrash.

Damn right there's no fuckin about haha.
It's took us ages to finally secure a decent and committed line up.
This year we intend to earn a reputation as the single hardest working band, and fastest growing, in the business haha.
And yeah, Megadeth Carling Academy!!! For the Fuckin Win!!!!

We have booked four days in the studio for April. Record as many songs as possible. Quantity not quality . Then release it on CDR ASAP.
Our bass player will be leaving after this.
This leaves us with two possible outcomes…
1. The band dies
2. Hopefully we find another bass player.

I'll be busting my arse up and down ladders cleaning up bird shit and dust to buy the new recording equipment I need to record the two Jekazol albums already written. There's a little bit of programming here and there and a few lines of lyrics but hey, the songs are pretty well done really... I'll be nagging Niky to have his solos ready on time and generally being a right control freak bastard, but you do what you have to do. The albums are called 'Snakes & Ladders' -which recycles a few older tracks, and 'The road of Kings' -which is largely a concept piece based around R.E. Howard's Conan Chronicles. The new stuff is more melodic in places with a strong Maiden vibe.
I appreciate maybe we didn't get off to the best start on here me being a N00B n'all but you live and learn. Jekazol is in for the long haul, for the love of it all - the need, make no mistake .
Of course gigging as a 2-piece is a drag and so is trying to find musicians to complete the line-up. Hopefully things will go our way this year. At least we can make real viable recordings...
'New Thrash'? - sounds silly, but we need a way to comunicate i guess.
There is no old or new really - not if you play and write complexed metal with your heart in it. A good song is forever. I remember being made to feel like a cunt for loving maiden in the early 90s and now it's 'cool' again. What a load of bollocks.
Metal / Thrash is a test of skill and there will always be a core to carry the flag. Good on UK Thrash for bringing them together... you bunch of girls ... can't get too nice now.

Now we have demo done, we'll be passing it on to vocalists. That's about it, until we get a vocalist, FUCK ALL.

That shouldn't be too hard. Everyone thinks they can sing/shout extreme vocals (near enough).
Maybe you could get someone from a band nearby to do it as a stand in just to get the songs out and when you have a permanent guy re-record the vocals again. All you need is a digi 4 track recorder and a vocal processor and mike to do it. You could borrow bitz and pieces - ask around. A day in a studio would cost less. maybe? maybe too much fuckin' about?

We've got new t-shirts onwards from the gig this Sunday, and CDs featuring both demos for the bargain price of £3. If anyone's interested, get in touch. Shirt image to follow.
