Thrash Metal Massacre, Birmingham, 2007.

During a Gama Bomb circle pit, an older fatter man randomly turns round at intervals and hugs anyone who runs into him.

Bit creepy.

I remember him, he span me around a bit at one point.

Very strange.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Well Chops was a friendly man indeed.

Most recent mosh related fun i can remember is at FKU where i was "coursed" into the pit and then proceeded to launch someone into the bar. There was also this really weird goth guy there who had unbuttoned his shirt and was half moshing half dancing and coming off worse in every exchange.

Exact bands are a bit hazy, so here's a few, most of them brutal:

Some guy jumping off the PA stack at the Hammersmith Clarendon in 1987 and landing exactly astride my shoulders, so I left him there for the rest of the number whilst continuing to mosh about. What's the likelihood of that ever happening again?

Someone eye being popped out in the pit at the Tankard gig at the Fulham Greyhound. Cliff (Flesh guitarist) was a male nurse and helped him pop it back in with no lasting damage (as far as we know).

At the same gig, Cliff pushed some guy, who spun round in a flying kung-fu kick to Cliff's head, knocking him sparko.

Some guy from High Wycombe who came up to me at a gig and said, "Do you remember breaking two of my ribs at the Hammersmith Clarendon last month?" It was probably when he tried to barge me over and I stuck my elbow in his guts.

Dragging Malcolm Dome into the pit and throwing him around like a rag doll at a gig at the Marquee in '88. Oh and doing the same to Scott "NOT" Ian at another gig there.

Stage diving to GBH at the Fulham Greyhound, rolling on top on the spikey tops and then ending up through the gap to the otherside of the bar, frightening the bar staff.

that'll do for now....

Tell him, Oggie, Oggie, Oggie - Oi! Oi! Oi! That was the cry him and his mates were using all night.

P.S. that was actually a Kings X gig

 That guy was absolutely amazing! Definitely one of the funniest things I've ever seen at a gig.

I've had Kerry Kings pick land in my hair at the Astoria (RIP :( ) about 7 years ago, it was at the end of the set, and I figured some dickhead had just gobbed from the stands above, went to touch it, and realised it was his bloody 3 pronged guitar pick, nice find!

Not quite a pit story, but hey.

Was that the one when they played their first two albums? Cause i went to that one XD
I remember this dude at Testament who was rather large wanted to be lifted out of the pit, but like everyone carried on dropping him and it took tons of people to lift him out :P
It would've been more funny if it wasn't for the fact that people were trying to lift him like pretty much directly over me haha. The pits were crazy at that gig though.. was mint

Municipal Waste at Manchester was amazing. The most recent one. The place was just going mental, so much stage diving. I stage dived once and got let down directly in front of Paul, who then pushed me into the pit. There was literally no room for rest. There was a guy on the side of the stage pushing people off, acting as security. Turned out to be the guitarist from one of the opening bands being a nob.

Cannibal Corpse playing Hammer Smashed Face at Manchester. There used to be a video of the pit... but the Academy 1 floor opened from one side to the other and it was fucking mental. But the pit died down for Stripped, Raped and Strangled :(
