Last of the Summer Wine was the worst thing ever made. About as funny as a dead dog at a funeral.

Porridge was good though, rest in peaces and all that.

The only funny parts of LOTSW was when they put Burt Wok in it.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Massive fan of Porridge, so this is bad crack. I'm not looking forward to informing my father.

How did I miss this? Poor old Foggy.
LOTSW, when it first started, was excellent. A witty, slow moving and gentle comedy show, but like most things, familiarity led very quickly to complacency and what started off as a genuinely funny show ended up nothing more than a collection of tried and tested gags, jokes and set-pieces repeated ad nauseum week in week out.

LOTSW was pure old biddy comedy, but my grandad used to watch it so I've seen a few of them back when I was a little-un.
Bad news. Bad news indeed.

totally agree, and the lack of episodes is what kept father ted, fawltey towers and porridge so good. All of them had suprisingle small runs.
Brian was one of the most understatedly funny guys on tv.

How come?

Not as if the filming schedule for the next series will be affected. At least not any more than the death of Ronnie Corbett affected it.

It took forever to get over the fact that the two main actors are dead. I'll cry every time I watch it now.

With the amount of celebrity deaths so far this year, I think I'm tempting fate here...

I think there was 18 episodes, 2 Xmas specials and a film, oh and don't forget Going Straight... If it had been American they have stretched it to death, like Prison Break!
