Black Sabbath - The Devil Cried

To promote the new compilation "The Dio Years" the band have recorded a new song "The Devil Cried". Much better than the two tracks they did with Ozzy, and what a voice RJD has!

Yeah got that a couple of days ago (cheers TFTP!) its pretty good and yes, Dio's voice is amazing.

Yes indeed, it's a highly enjoyable track. It's not anything particularly special and I can't really be bothered to listen to it again for now anyway, but it has a lovely sort of groove to it and Dio is a fucking lord of mighty steel. The other two tracks on the album should be quite great hopefully, one of them's apparently lovely and fast, which sounds good to me. Can't wait to see them live, it's going to be bloody amazing!

yeah this song is basically a classic slow/doomy Dio track, sounds quite a bit like 'Rock and Roll'..

Can't say anything bad about it, fuckin' Sabbath and DIO all at once!!! :dance:
