What angers me the most is that it's not just the trashy tabloids who are reporting every worthless development in the Jade chronicles - the BBC also feels it is news-worthy to tell us things like the fact that Jade has "left hospital" or "christened her sons". How many thousands of people do these things every day?! The only reason it is news is because Jade is famous and wealthy for exposing her stupidity and bigotry on national television. I suppose in a way we're lucky the doctors don't know exactly how long she's got left, otherwise a massive count-down clock might be erected in Trafalgar Square which counts down to a day of national mourning.
I guess the BBC would only plead that they're giving people what they want - on the BBC News site recently a Jade story was ranked as number one most popular, above a number of serious and important articles!

I don't know, as far as I've been told, anyone can get into heaven if they just believe in god and say they're sorry. So we won't get in, but rapists and muderers will, all they have to do is say, "Sorry god! Can I come in now?" and that will be that.
And apparently that's what some people believe.

I caught the end of an ITV programme tonight about Jade's legacy... it basically concluded that she has saved lives by inspiring other young women to have smear tests. Strings to Jade's bow: A) life-saver...
