all of them a freak
they always think they're different and fucking cool,
some of them are very revolt, against everything

I guess only girls who got mentally ill will listen to metal in HK

I know what you're saying here - although you can also find lots of bonehead male metallers like this at gigs. ie. Angry immature losers who are into metal to be rebellious and 'alternative'. I'm sure it applies to both sexes.

Regarding fashions though, I think it is very rare for metal fashions to make a girl more attractive, and very common for them to make them less so.

I think those metal fashion is ok, dont over do it,
but it cant make boys and girls more attractive,
this is both sexes too I think......

I don't meet many other women into thrash metal, and I suppose as someone on here already said it's not very "girl friendly" music and is very testostorone driven, whereas some types of metal appeal more to girls. I've had a few female friends who're into metal who have said things like "how can you like that stuff? all those 80's thrash bands with greasy long hair and stuff makes me cringe" - and so I think the image puts some girls off as well.

Fashion indeed is a stumbling block. As anyone who's ever seen Blitzkrieg live can attest, a 43 stone, 43-year-old woman shoehorned into leopard print leggings is not a pretty sight. Mind you, I always say fair fucks to the metal wives, they know what they like.

For the record, Angela Gossow is neither attractive (in real life) or a good vocalist.

Anyways, I dunno, generic nice non-sexist comment. This whole subject is a bit tired I think, there are tonnes more girls into general alternative music than there used to be, when I go to gigs now I normally see about a 70-30 split.

Another thing is lot of guys I've spoken to don't necessarily want girls to be completely into metal but just a bit open-minded and not whining when they whack on a bit of Heathen. Fair enough really, I guess it's just a bonus when you find someone who shares your interests regardless of gender. I'm not sure I could go out with someone who played rnb when we were getting intimate though, guess the same rules don't apply for everyone!

Whilst I dont have a gf atm, I would get bored if she liked the same music as me. Going to the same gigs,listening to the same stuff, I like a little variety, If there was'nt and I had a gf we would of broken up aggges ago lol

This is true, my girlfriend likes a lot of crap (emo type stuff) mixed with a couple good bands, but I get to pick the busy music so I can't complain, it's a good system
