Absu - Absu

Postby Resilience Records on Mon Mar 23, 2009 1:02 pm

I have only just listened to this, been meaning to since i saw it was being release a couple of months ago... well... it has not disappointed.

Its maybe a bit more theatrical than their previous works, but its no less slaying! The production is really good, the vocals sound increadible, and there is some serious songwriting going on here.

plus it sounds fucking evil.

Yeah I'm pretty excited to check this out properly. I listened to some streams on the Terrorizer website, but I will probably purchase it eventually.

I made a general Absu worship thread a while ago: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4587&p=140384&hilit=absu#p140384

They are playing a few European fests this year, such as United Metal Maniacs and Hell's Pleasure; would be killer to see them live!

yeah i noticed hells pleasure on their myspace... shit... its a week before Headbangers open air... and Pentagram are playing! in fact hilariously both pentagram's are playing!!! i bet they asked the ones from Chili first and then realised their mistake!

anyway yes, i'd be very tempted to go and see them there... hummm

I want to get this on vinyl, but i think the artwork is totally different for the vinyl release, which is cool but i love the CD front cover. its such an amazing painting, totally mysterious and dark.

What? I don't see any sign of the Chile Pentagram on the bill! I didn't even know they were still around... it would be incredible to see them though: "PROFANER... OF REALITYYYYY!"

This album is a stormer, i really can't thank James enough for showing me this band.

I have to say i prefer Tara to this one as well it's just better basically. But that's no reason not to get this, totally essential.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

Hmmm, very strange that there is no mention of them on the Hell's Pleasure website then.
