Flames are crazy fast, but a lot of the stuff is verging on Black metal...

Razor are fucking fast, but so are Slaughter (can)!!!

Bathory used a drum machine anyway :P and they're BM too..

Incubus are surely Death Metal???? But still, the stuff is intense!!!

:rockdevil:

The Great Kat is fucking ridiculously fast at times

I NEED MORE HYPER SPEED THRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There has to be a band I havn't heard that goes over 260 bpm??

Probably Vio-lence from a pure thrash perspective. Now if you're talking death metal and grindcore things get silly.

I've never found Vio-lence to be that fast... Or Forbidden in that case (they play around 200/210 bpm tops) except the riffs are REALLY technical - Chalice of Blood

My choices for the fastest Thrash :D

Tankard
Kreator
Gammacide
Sadus <-- are they THE fastest thrash band?? I havnt heard any
other thrash as quick as that... but they play in 12|16
time sig so the guitars are basically playing triplets but the
drums are to tempo around 240/260.

I've also heard that Deathwish we're fast in a ridiculous way, what's it like??

Fastest band I listen to is The Berzerker, anything faster is just noise. In terms of thrash I dunno.. there's different ways of measuring a song's "speed". Legion Of The Damned are the fastest thrash I've heard.

I only have the debut album!
They are fast, kinda in the early Destruction Way!

but on some song they are play it really slow! :(

If they stick to making Fast and Dirty Thrash Metal
They can be one of my favorite UK Thrash Band!

Dark Angel is the fastest I can think of with Darkness Descends.
Mastery (Can) gets pretty damn fast and technical. The riffs are awesome to. They really need to find a suitable vocalist.
Living Death gets pretty fast as well.
Sadus on Chemical Exposure is very quick.
Agent Steel can get very quick in Unstoppable Force.

Yeah, their later stuff is death, but their first album is pretty thrashy.

If Bathory can be counted as thrash, then surely tracks like "....of doom" and "equimanthorn" have to take the accolade (human drummer or not), but has anyone here heard much grindcore???? If speed does it for you, check out stuff like
NARCOSIS heart slows down
PHOBIA get up and kill
CRIPPLE BASTARDS desperately insensitive
CATHETER dimention 303
DEAD INFECTION a chapter of accidents
