i would rather do both...and not see iron maiden :P

Ohh boove, how unlike you to make silly comments.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

It should be a bit better than when they played Leeds Fest in '05. Seriously the atmosphere was shit. Many people cleared off after that faggoth and it seemed barely half the crowd left actually liked Maiden :wall:

Nevertheless their performance was spectacular, I'm really looking forward to hearing those words "SCREAM FOR ME WACKEN!!"

Argh, I'm probably going to this now, my mates got tickets and are practically begging me to go. If I do then me and my good friend are going to drink a pint of whiskey each in 6 hours, a challenge enspired by the song "whiskey in the jar".

I'm basically going to 4 festivals this year, and America, sounds good!

Ever been to Reading General before? :D

Actually do you know that every A&E dept keeps a bottle of scotch on stand-by in case someone comes in with ethylene glycol poisoning? The treatment is to make the person pissed because the alcohol stops the ethylene glycol from damaging the liver because the body metabolises ethanol in preference. However I'm assured it's not a 15 year old malt...

That is a very interesting piece of information! I'll just have some ethylene glycol instead, whatever it is!

You wouldn't want to. From Wiki:

The major danger from ethylene glycol is following ingestion. Due to its sweet taste, children and animals will sometimes consume large quantities of it if given access to antifreeze. Ethylene glycol may also be found as a contaminant in moonshine distilled using an improperly washed car radiator. In developed countries, a bittering agent called denatonium/denatonium benzoate, is generally added to ethylene glycol preparations as an adversant (to prevent accidental ingestion). If one has ingested ethylene glycol, give the person an alcoholic beverage while the paramedics arrive. Ethanol acts as a competitive inhibitor to the active site of the enzyme that converts ethylene glycol to its toxic metabolites. Once ethanol binds, the ethylene glycol is harmlessly excreted out of the body.

Ethylene glycol poisoning is a medical emergency and in all cases a poison control center should be contacted or medical attention should be sought. It is highly toxic with an estimated LD100 in humans of approximately 1.4 ml/kg.[5] However, as little as 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons) can be lethal to adults.[6]
