Actually do you know that every A&E dept keeps a bottle of scotch on stand-by in case someone comes in with ethylene glycol poisoning? The treatment is to make the person pissed because the alcohol stops the ethylene glycol from damaging the liver because the body metabolises ethanol in preference. However I'm assured it's not a 15 year old malt...
