Lack of circle pits was a shame. Other than that, and the lame support band, it was a fantastic gig!

yep, july.... epic shit.
I don't think there was enough room for a pit to be honest.... it was rammed everywhere.

They played 'More Than Meets the Eye' and 'The Formation of Damnation' from the new album as an encore.... which included a wall of death pit moment that somehow they made space for (I think everyone had to breath in to make room)

The 'New Order' set was the entire album (AFAICT) but they didn't play Nobody's Fault which is on my CD but is a cover anyway so I don't care.

Still can't get over this gig. How fucking cool is it that Testament bothered to do this? They could have just played a normal set and it would have been a sell out. I'm usually pretty cynical but this does seem like a genuine 'for the fans' type thing.

It was really good that there wasn't a lot of chatter, they just went through each album song after song.... brilliant. The bassist fingers were killing him by the end as well.

I liked Chuck's little dig at Megadeth as well... just after they covered 1/2 a Priest song.

What an amazing gig.... wow.

Splendid evening!!
Sylosis were shocking, while waiting at the bar some fella came up to me asking if i liked sylosis, when i replied no he looked shocked, and then told me seeing as i was wearing an evile hoodie he assumed i liked them?? Odd!!
Great to see the lads, (Steve & Origami), in the rather energetic pit!
Down side of the evening was when we were down in angel station on the way home when my mate blurted out, "you can put them away for a start", only to look down and find my trousers ripped open, not my proudest moment!! Thank god for the metro, great coverage in such a situation!! lol
Oh also managed to destroy my watch at some stage, hmm second thoughts maybe the night wasn't so great!!
Testament were ace!
The end..

How much do you think Sylosis payed Metal Hammer to get that slot? I'm glad Testament didn't thank them. They should have come out and kicked them off stage!

I wrote this off as screamo but they say their influences are Death, Metallica, Sepultura, Forbidden, Darkane, Atheist, Cynic, Testament, Heathen, Devin Townsend, Opeth (on their MySpace page). I can't really hear anything but KSE.

It wasn't much: Chuck was talking about the tour ending or something and how The New Order was inspired in part by Nostrodamus and they played a bit of Preist, Chuck then started reminiscing and then the guitarist on the right (Peterson?) shouted "Megadeth" (implying they should play some). Chuck turned to the tour camera and shouted "Don't get me started!". The reason I remembered it was because the camera man looked fucking shocked so there was obviously something going on there. Nothing big.... I presume there is bad blood between MD and T because there is bad blood between MD and everyone.

I bet it doesn't seem like a privilege when all you can smell is sweaty armpits in a mini bus :) You're right though.

It's shame if Testament are wankers to fellow bands. There is no good reason for it.

When I worked with them in Oxford earlier this year they (Testament) couldn't of been more friendly or nice. All of them had time to chat and sign things as well. Hell Chuck Billy even let half of Seregon hug him: Image

The next night I had passes to meet Megadeth and within 3 minutes the band we're in and out. Shake hands, sign something, take pics and gone. Sucked for people who had waited all day for the Meet N Greet etc. Maybe they had sh*t to do but to spend a full 10 minutes would of been good, each person woudl of had a couple of mins with each member that way!
