SQUAD IS DONE!
Paint scheme is:
- Armour: Watery Graveyard Earth on a black undercoat, then a streaky coat of Bleached Bone, then Devlan Mud Wash, then a few bits of Bleached Bone over the top.
- Trim: Scorched Brown drybrushed with Blazing Orange.
- Bare Skin: Scab Red then Rotting Flesh, with mottled covering of Blue and Red washes.
- Bases: Adeptus Battlegrey, drybrushed with Skull White.
Some of the photos are a bit dark, but I hope the general scheme comes across. I've included some alternative angles for a few of them:

Re: Warhammer
I did the whole squad in about a week, and I don't mean painting full-time!
Once you get into a 'production line' rhythm it is quite easy, e.g. paint ALL the brown bits brown, ALL the silver bits silver, and so on. And then washes helped quite a bit because they create a quick but effective result (washes are basically watery inks).
My next plan is to get another 10-man squad on the go, then I'm going to make a Lord using an Obliterator body, which looks like this:
That way I will have the minimum force requirement: 2 troops choices and an HQ choice. I also fancy a squad of Chosen made out of Dark Angels Veterans, because their cloaks are awesome:
Some Terminators would also be cool, and then a Vindicator:
But that's quite far down the line

Really nice job, James!
Incidentally, I went into the Games Workshop in Meadowhall the other day and the paedo staff collared me.
"What do you collect?!?!?!?"
Fuck off, nerd!
