May as well post and at least try to incite some discussion.

Over the last few months it's become more and more apparent that the genre is nosediving... it was obvious anyway, but now it's REALLY noticable. One one hand, I care little - it's not exactly going to stop me from writing, recording and performing with Vindicator as usual and it's not like I don't listen to thrash in my spare time. But on the flipside, it's quite depressing to see things the way they are now when only two or three years ago everything with thriving and bustling with activity. I'm aware that bands are still recording and performing, but it seems to have drifted apart somewhat... instead of a nice community vibe it seems like everyone's been segregated. This forum too, I don't even need to point out how desolate this place is these days.

That's just my twisted observations, of course. But it's still depressing... fuck it, I might stick to blues and death metal from now on.

It's a shame but the scene does seem pretty dead. I mean, this must be my first post for months!
