I saw Harry Brown Friday night.
It was lovely seeing Teh Caine. Plot : Ex Marine who is a retired OAP lives in shitty estate in London, Has his wife die via natural causes and his best friend dies via hoodies goes on a vigilante streak with...RESULTS.
All in all its a lovely film, not ground breaking but enjoyable.

Re: Film Thread mk.II
i saw paranormal activity and i really want to vent my disgust at such a shitty movie....it was such predictable bullcrap and anyone that plans to see it please dont, waste of money. Apparently its meant to be a film that 'shook' america, the only thing it shook was me scratching my fucking balls! the scare scenes really didn't work and did not make me jump. SPOILER ALERT!! basically its about a couple...they video tape themselves everynight and sometimes during the day and a ghost man tells them 'bitch dont you be venting no hate, those cracka ass demons feed of yo negative energy! ya dig?' it shows the camera everynight and something abit more spooky happens each night until it results in the girl being pulled out of bed by her leg by the demon and the couple are stressed and evidently the demon is feeding of this bad mojo. The very final night surprise surprise she gets possessed and kills her boyfriend and then the film finishes.....whoopdeefucking doo!!

The funny thing is this movie is actually 10 years old and actually was made way before The Blair Witch Project.
I remember watching PA at a student cinema @ Penn State University in 2001. The media hype it has got is a awesome piece of PR but damn the movie blows.

The best "found footage" film is the spanish film [Rec]...i didn't think the film was terrible but as usual horror films like this get over hyped but more power to the production team as i don't know what else you can make for $15,000 and have it earn $107,000,000

I saw Red Cliff tonight, a John Woo epic, it was pretty good, lots of blood and some nice stories running through it and literally a Chinese Brian Blessed, I mean, what more can anyone ask for!! He punched a horse!

haha me and Bill saw Red Cliff a while ago now...it was pretty crazy, though it would have been better with Dynasty Warrior (the whole film is one level haha) crazy guitar soloing going on in the background.
I wouldn't mind seeing Avatar mainly for the technology side of it though the reviews so far have been positive.

See it on IMAX, your score will go up to 12/10.
Although I've seen it a billion times after working shifts where I have to sit in the IMAX to make sure no one steals the IMAX glasses, and I can't stand it anymore. The blue woman crying all the time annoys the hell out of me now. But yeah, not a brilliant film, but a good one, and the visual effects and the amount of effort that went into the thing are very impressive.
