You need to work on your comebacks. You've targeted not only something I don't care about, but on something I agree with you on.

It is, and this is because it's a wonderful of example of AC/DC not trying to be something they're not. They're just rocking as hard as they ever were, playing the same three chords in a different way because that's what they do, and they do it so well. It's a great fun song with passion and rocks to the maximum mother, and gives me a right old fun time. Metallica have no idea what to do anymore, and even if they do it really doesn't sound like they know how to do it. I will see them live for a ruddy fun time, but what I've heard off the new album has killed the little hope I had for new Metallica. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it really does sound like they just don't know what sounds good any more. In my opinion, anyway. I don't know, I just can't be bothered at all for the three songs or all the other clips I've heard so far, it's just boring and passionless and has no direction. The solos have all been rubbish and just sound like they're there because they weren't there on St Anger, the drums are played like a retard, the riffs have nothing special about them whatsoever, and the vocals are OK I suppose. I could be wrong, but I think I've heard enough to realise what this album's going to be, and that is another big bloody disappointment.

Basically, AC/DC have got it absolutely right, and Metallica have got it completely wrong. Stay true to yourself and all will be wonderful.

Exactly Jon, exactly.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

All bow down to Johnny, the new king of metal and all things pertaining to. :rockdevil:

I think johnny should actually have his own website where he just reviews stuff in his own wonderful lovely way.

I've been a fan of AC/DC since err 1983, one year more than I've been a fan of Metallica. I still consider myself a fan of both and hope both new albums rock my cock off. No doubt one of them will disappoint me.

Of course, and don't get me wrong here, I love Metallica very much and really hoped this album would be good, which is why I'm being so dramatic with my disappointment here. If I didn't care about it, I wouldn't say anything. It is a shame, because I can hear what they're trying to do with this one, but it's just not working for me.
