I am warmed by the agreements My main hope is that the thrash lovers and long-term members are not scared away or driven into permanent lurk-mode by a handful of clowns who don't really give a toss about the scene this time round. It would also be nice if the younger/newer posters didn't feel they had to act tough or generally spam to be accepted.
I know that most of the established forumers still enjoy thrash, and I agree there is no need to prove this all the time with hundreds of thrash threads: I admit I mark lots of thrashy threads without reading them, but I still enjoy the music and think the current scene has lots of strong material to offer, so it's good that this still seems the unspoken consensus.

I was, out of the ones you mentioned the only one i would consider any good are sabbat. I 100% think the UK scene is far more interesting this time around, Mutant, Damnas and Heretic have already proved this beyond a doubt.
interesting yes, and the bands are probably better (except sabbat), however the sad fact remains that most of the bands havn't even reached the levels of bands like re-animator in terms of success (getting albums out, bigger venues etc.), hopefully that will change.
thrash is shit though, only bisexual oaps like it

Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

I love thrash but apart from looking like one I don't think I'm a stereotype of one I hardly ever verbalize it.

Well it's been 24 years (not sure where Mort got 26 from, remember Metal Militia at your Uncle Malc in 1984?) and I'm a third of the way there, no hang on two thirds, I am quite courageous.

That's fair enough but you are bound to get ripped on if you blitz every thread with silly arguments - good to hear you are here because you really like thrash though, and I'm sure you will meet more forumers in the near future.

I pretty much only listen to thrash, with the exception of a few other bands.

Well this threads great. I dont see a reason i could stop liking thrash. If you truly like something, it sticks with you. Ask Mort, im sure he couldnt stop liking thrash after so long.
The new wave of thrash has opened so many eyes to everything and its brilliant, even if a few dont agree here, its not uncool to really love it.
