A conversation with my area manager is full of all these clichés. I feel like I have to join in with him to fit in. I always e-mail him saying I'lll have stuff done by end of play today.

But basically, the worst is when British idiots say 'could care less'. That's literally the worst. 110% Or when Jamie's sister says "for God sakes" or "for fuck sakes". Don't even get me started.

I don't mind the 'to be fair's and the 'i'm not being funny but's, it's just the business ones that do my head in. All those nonses in suits that say "in the pipeline", "end of play", "try and get your head round this one" and "110%".

Just to clarify...it's the worst because it's meant to be "for fuck's sake" right? - It's not southerners saying it differently?

yeah exactly Lev, but for some reason chav's down south and Essex girls (and those who try to be like them) think its "For fuck sakes"... which makes no sense and is ANNOYING! especially when abreivated to "Fuck Sakessssa" where they draw out the s at the end and then but an "ah" at the end for no reason!! idiots united.

Hahaha. I've never noticed your sister saying 'for fuck sakes' before, but I'll be sure to listen out for it now, and I'll definitely hate it. I've never heard 'end of play' before either, but that's definitely retarded to the maximum degree. 'Touch base' is still the worst. People involved in the media industry say it all the time because they think it's cool.

I fucking hate stupid retards.

I live in essex, and i have never heard anyone say that.

I'd be liable to kill them though if i did.
Gee.... I don't know about the rest of you guys, but lately the only things that truly motivate me are erections and bowel movements.

Thank the Police coming straight from the underground...

This is not quite the same, but similar: one of my teachers at uni always seems to be trying to talk as though he's writing dictating article, which for some reason annoys me.

I was trying SO hard not to break out into a massive smile/laugh today though when we were comparing two Saints' Lives sources, and he commented that there was a "huge cleavage" between the two! I didn't even dare look around to check if anyone else was allowing a smirk to escape.

I use fair enough / fair dooo's too many times though, probably because I use the internet a lot to chat. Fair do's, you got me there! Oh...

"I'm not being funny but"... has to be my all time HATED phrase. As they say it, my inner peep show voice goes "and here's the pretentious opener.... and here's what they really think" fucks me off no end that saying that phrase give a license to say whatever with no repercussions from the person it's being said to. Also it detracts meaning away from the word funny!

Means - I'm friendly > Here is a dig but don't worry as we've bonded at some point.

Here's a band cliche phrase, who in your band often refers to other people in bands as hey dude?
