If Kiss had any influence on Anthrax I certainly can't hear or see it...

You'd need to have listened to the KISS albums Scott Ian worshipped when he was younger to be able to hear it.

My mate says he hears it a lot in Frank Bello's bass parts but I've never paid enough attention to Mr Bello to agree or disagree with it.

Unfortunately quite a few of the most famous line-up (Benante, Ian, Bello, Spitz, Belladonna) were big kiss fans. I remember a bit in the programme from the State Of Euphoria tour where they listed the bands they liked and most of them had Ki$$ in there

Nah, I think Frank has said that he is mostly influenced by Steve Harris than anyone else. I certainly don't hear or see any Gene Simmon's in his playing.

I've not really been keeping up with this thing, but why are so many people offended that Metal Iain likes KISS? I like way gayer bands than that.

Do people know that anthrax are not a thrash band, i read an interview somewhere and Mr Scott Ian said they are a Heavy Metal band not a thrash band. So now you know (i am only repeating what he said. so leave me alone. i am feeling emo at the monent. well i would like to feel an emo with my fist contacting his face, with several blows and lots of blood, now theres a cheary thought.

Kiss are amazing, WASP are amazing. Anthrax are certainly thrash metal! to me they are what thrash are all about

apart from that BELLO IS THE BASS GOD

makes the most boringest instrument in the planet good. Tis why i love it

metal iain is getting a hard time is ee no difference in talking about wasp than priest to be honest. If this is just meant ot be a thrash forum then there should be no grim death metal chat then

It was 1987; I think it's a bit much of any one on here to comment on their dress sense. Give it 19 years and I'm sure myself and many others here'll be saying:

'God, I cannot believe I thought denim, leather and long hair looked good!'

It's always looked rather silly really.

Agreed, plus they're hot (including the ginger one!) but their cover of Aerosmith and Run DMC's Walk This Way with the Sugababes is absolute wank!
